| I don't know Bob, the Jets scored pretty easily against the Colts. They aren't playing in Indy either. I think Brees will throw all over Indy's defense. I say Saints by 10. |

I was very close. It was a good game. Excellent commercials.

Congratulations to the Saints. I would feel better about their victory if they hadn't been holding the Colts D-Line the entire game without even one penalty to show for it.
Not calling games as the rules are written may be good for more scoring, but it is one thing that is sapping the joy from watching sports for me. I see it in basketball all the time too. Sooooo many double dribbles ignored (Tar Heels get away with it too), soooo many 4 step drives to the hoop allowed and then a tiny shuffle of the feet whistled for traveling 2 minutes later. Soooo many brutal assaults under the hoop ignored, only to see hand check or body bump fouls called 25 feet from the basket time and time again. It drives me to distraction. Either call the games by the rules, or change the darn rulebook.

I saw holding by both teams. All the old players say holding happens on every play.

Colts rush depends on getting around the ends. Holding hurts that type rush more than inside, and btw is FAR more obvious when holding on the outsides. I say a decision was made prior to game time to NOT Call holding. Hurt the Colts more, but hey now we can maybe let the country stop crying 'bout the 'Po Ol' Ain'ts. They not only finally got to a Super Bowl, they won it on their first try.
